An upcoming hand-made dice shop needed a logo and a landing page to get started. "The Laughing Mimic" name is based on a Dungeons & Dragons bar joke.
"The barkeeper asked why we carried weapons on us in the bar. I said, 'Mimics.' The barkeeper laughed, the party laughed, the table laughed. We killed the table. It was a good time."
So of course the logo needed to include a mimic mimicking a die! I also wanted to create a typeface that was fun, approachable, and had a hand-made feel, since this is a hand-made product.
Landing Page
While the client works on creating enough dice to set up their site, they needed a landing page to collect email addresses so that interested gamers could be alerted when the shop was ready! I designed this mockup in Adobe XD, then built it out for the web.
